Description of Classes:

Nourhan Sharif will introduce students to Yousry Sharif's technique and choreography

*Morning Class:
The first half of the workshop focuses on Yousry Sharif's unique approach and commitment to classical Raks Sharqi. The exercises will be presented to assist students in acquiring a solid vocabulary of dance movements in their bodies. The technique section will help each dancer to develop a foundation for learning Yousry Sharif's choreography.

**Afternoon Class:
The second half of the workshop - drum solo - focuses on the art of performance through learning a completed choreography. The elements of a dynamic drum solo start with clear technique upon which is added: musicality, dramatic presence, interplay with the audience, and, effective use of space - stage or cabaret.

Starlight Dance Center is on the left side of the street.

From Route 3 West:
